This series of photographs was taken in the F. Bazille agricultural college in Montpellier in France, during the 'Ecritures de lumière' (Writings in light) photography residence course. I asked the students to pose in positions that they wouldn’t usually find themselves in within the college walls. In jest, or with a taste for provocation and the absurd, they took up poses of resistance or passivity in order to break with the rigidity of academic life. These pranks, a few minutes stolen from their lessons, have the wonderful smell of derision and rule breaking.
