DISHKIYAAON (noise that makes a gun shot in hindi) is first Sanam Talwar's film. Former ingeneer, this young and ambitious film-maker lives in an old building in Mumbai, the capitale of indian cinema. In his film, Sanam invites us to live our emotions with gun shots. « The movie shows betrayal, revenge, cheat, hate and love. » Sanam believes like hell in his "baby". His gangsters script is for him a modern interpretation of Mahābhārata, an hindu mythological story. Mastering with this duality, Sanam plays with the gaps within indian culture. At home he asks his flatmates -both documentary film-makers- for their contribution. Outside, wearing his fancy sunglasses, shiny rings and white Doc Martens he's the man with multiples visions.
They may be glittery but the steps to success are still be slippery. You might become famous in one day but one film can also be the way to sink into oblivion.
